Bob Stefanowski Endorsed by Independent Party
This weekend, our campaign took another big step toward ensuring that Bob Stefanowski will be the next Governor of Connecticut. We were cross-endorsed for Governor by the Independent Party, meaning Bob will get two slots on the ballot in November: one with the Republican Party and one with the Independent Party.
Why is this so important? In 2010, Tom Foley lost to Dan Malloy in the closest Governor’s race in Connecticut history by less than 7,000 votes. The Independent-Endorsed candidate in that race got 17,000 votes – more than enough to tip the scales.
By securing a second spot on the ballot, we are in prime position to win this race in November so that we can get to the business of rebuilding Connecticut.
It is an honor to be the endorsed candidate of both the Republican and Independent parties, as it’s clear that voters of all stripes in Connecticut are fed up with the failed policies of Dan Malloy and don’t want 4 years more by way of Ned Lamont.
