Increase the Property Tax exemption for veterans, especially those who have suffered a disability during their service.
Expand Access to Housing
Expand housing for veterans and construct a “Veterans’ Community” to provide Connecticut’s veterans with a great degree of independence as well as all necessary care.
TRANSPORTATION
Reduce Automobile Sales Tax
Reduce automobile sales tax for nonresident military personnel and eliminate that tax for veterans rated at 100% disability by the VA.
Healthcare
Expand Access to Healthcare
Allow veterans to bypass waiting and travel time by billing the VA system for healthcare services obtained at other hospitals. Provide transportation from such facilities to special practice locations.
